Cops raid Jo’burg sex club

The manager of a sex club and four of his patrons were arrested during a police raid in New Doornfontein, Johannesburg on Saturday night.

”We were working on information that drugs were being sold and used in the nightclub,” said police spokesperson Inspector Dennis Adriao on Sunday.

He said the four men arrested were found in possession of drugs, but many other patrons had time to discard theirs, and substances worth about R20 000 was found strewn on the floor of the club.

The manager was arrested for trading without a licence and liquor worth about R30 000 was confiscated.

Adriao said the police appreciated that the 80 men at The Factory were co-operative and friendly:

”The police did their job and they left. They were very co-operative,” he said.

Police found included Cat, cocaine, Ecstasy, dagga, and various schedule seven medicines.

”We are enforcing the laws quite strictly. We will be following further information on other nightclubs,” Adriao said. – Sapa
