Gender Letter – Treat learners the same

In the classroom environment:

All learners, whether they are boys or girls, should be treated equally by facilitators. Learners should be given the same responsibilities. They should be encouraged to participate without discriminating against one another. As far as class leaders are concerned, learners should vote for a leading team that includes boys and girls. Learners should be encouraged to accept each other’s gender.

Duties should be allocated equally between boys and girls. All learners should be advised to have passion, love and respect for both sexes.

In the staffroom:

I always promote a positive attitude towards each facilitator’s gender. I always create a better environment to accommodate everybody’s ideals. I usually promote sharing views and inputs towards building a better team and to accept and promote equality between male and female facilitators. I encourage all facilitators to participate in any sporting code without saying this code belongs to male facilitators only and that code belongs to female facilitators only. I always regard all facilitators’ ideas as equally important and do not discriminate and say this idea suits males only or females only. I always preach understanding and accepting each other’s gender without discriminating against one another.
