Where and when did you matriculate?
Florida Park High School in 1992.
What was your favourite subject and why?
Mathematics — it simply made sense.
Did you have a favourite teacher at school?
My English teacher, Mr Cole, brought the language to life and made it interesting.
What sort of a boy was Fezile at school?
I blended; there was nothing special about me.
While at school, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A lawyer or architect because just the sound of them made them seem good.
What is your job description?
I basically pretend to be someone else and make people believe it — and that is called acting. I’ve done children’s theatre, industrial theatre and educational television as well as presenting for various programmes and have acted in television series such as Soul City, Gaabo Motho, Sewende Laan, Generations and many others.
What qualifications does one need to do your job?
A diploma or a degree in drama is a good idea. It’s also good to be an extrovert and be willing to learn all the time.
What influenced your career choice?
I guess it was the extramural activities at school. The seed must have been planted when I was involved in school plays without me realising that it could become a career.
