Nothing tastes as sweet as Elton John

A life-size chocolate statue of British popstar Elton John was unveiled on Tuesday at London’s famous wax cabinet, Madame Tussauds.

The figure, made of bars of Cadbury’s Dairy Milk, won immediate approval from Elton’s long-time partner, David Furnish.

”It certainly looks like him. They’ve captured his features and his spirit,” said Furnish after the statue was unveiled.

Madame Tussauds crafted the statue from 126kgs of Dairy Milk, after Elton John was named in a Cadbury survey as the most favourite choice to be cast in chocolate.

The figure took more than 1 000 hours to create and was made to the measurements of the 58-year-old star.

It will be on show at the London tourist attraction until the autumn and be displayed in a special air-conditioned tent to prevent it from melting. ‒Sapa-dpa
