Deutsche Bank’s research team has been ranked first across the Emerging Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region in the 2006 Institutional Investor (II) Emerging EMEA Research Team survey — up from second position in 2005.
The annual II survey determines the best sell-side equity research coverage in the region by surveying investors on a global basis.
Deutsche Bank’s strength in various sectors across EMEA was reflected in a top-ranking position for its Equity Strategy research and strong second-place positions in the Telecoms, Metals & Mining and Economics sectors.
Additionally, in the country analysis category, Deutsche Bank received first place for its South African research, second-placed rankings for both Russia and Turkey, and third position for Poland.
David Folkerts-Landau, global head of research commented: “These excellent results validate Deutsche Bank’s integrated research approach in addition to demonstrating strong client commitment to the EMEA region, and the bank’s continued focus on extending its footprint in the area.” — I-Net Bridge
