England coach Andy Robinson will remain in charge for the two Tests against South Africa this month despite a seventh successive loss at the weekend.
In a statement on the Rugby Football Union website on Monday, elite rugby director Rob Andrew said Robinson will stay in his post for the two remaining November internationals.
Argentina defeated England 25-18 at Twickenham on Saturday after the hosts had lost by a record score to New Zealand on the previous Sunday.
”Andy remains in charge … and we will conduct further reviews in the week following the first and second tests against South Africa to assess England’s performances and results,” Andrew said.
”Andy is determined to turn England around to winning ways and his and the squad’s focus is on beating South Africa this Saturday.”
Andrew said Robinson had been present on Monday at an ”open and frank two-hour meeting where we all exchanged our views on England’s performance against Argentina and recent results”. — Reuters
