British actor Ralph Fiennes was a ”10 out of 10”, the Australian flight attendant who had sex with him on a flight to India said in an interview with the Sunday Mirror, but added that Fiennes turned his back on her in the wake of the scandal.
Qantas stewardess Lisa Robertson (38) said there was ”instant chemistry” between her and Fiennes, and told the tabloid of how they had sex in a business-class toilet cubicle, and again several times in Fiennes’s Mumbai hotel room.
”Ralph Fiennes is gorgeous and the chemistry between us was amazing. What woman wouldn’t want to have sex with him? He was the best lover I’ve ever had — a 10 out of 10,” she told the paper.
Robertson said that Fiennes began kissing her in the curtained area where she was taking her break, and as the pair became more passionate, she led him to the toilet cubicle where they had sex.
”I thought if I was going to get the sack, it would be worth it,” she said.
”I knew everything was totally against the rules and wrong but I didn’t care. I was going for it.”
Her account of the encounter on the flight is disputed by Fiennes’s publicist, who said Robertson was the ”sexual aggressor”.
”She initiated the encounter,” Sara Keene told the Australian newspaper the Sunday Telegraph. ”This woman seduced him on a plane. She was the sexual aggressor.”
Robertson said that the pair had unprotected sex in the cubicle, and were found out when a fellow flight attendant noted that after Fiennes left the cubicle, Robertson locked the door again. When she eventually emerged from the toilet, the male staff member was still there. After that, the flight’s chief stewardess confronted Robertson and ordered her to spend the rest of the flight in economy class.
At the end of the flight, Fiennes and Robertson exchanged phone numbers, and Fiennes called her once they both got back to their respective hotel rooms.
The actor asked her to come by his room, and he bought her dinner that evening and they had sex several more times, according to Robertson.
Robertson told the Mirror that after their encounter in Fiennes’s hotel room, she was going to be in Mumbai for two more days and hoped that the actor would call again, ”but when he didn’t call, I realised he was never going to call”.
”The more time that passes and the more I think about the whole thing, the more I feel I have been used.”
The air hostess called Fiennes again five days after their fling, asking for his help for her to hold on to her job, but according to Robertson, ”it was clear he was just turning his back on me”.
”I told him I was in a lot of trouble … I told him there were people who had seen us leaving the toilet, but all he said was, ‘Nothing happened’.” ‒ Sapa-AFP
