Netshisaulu’s wife granted bail

The woman accused of murdering her husband Avhatakali Netshisaulu, the son of City Press editor Mathatha Tsedu, was granted bail in the Johannesburg High Court on Tuesday, her attorney said.

Dolph Jonker said Mulalo Sivhidzo was granted bail of R15 000 and would appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrate’s Court on June 6.

”Bail was granted this morning and during the course of the day … when she pays, she will be out [of custody],” said Jonker.

Netshisaulu was apparently hijacked while driving from his North Riding home in Johannesburg to see a business partner in Honeydew at about 8pm on December 7 2006.

His body was found in the boot of his burnt-out car in Muldersdrift on the same night.

Jonker said Sivhidzo would face charges of murder, kidnapping and robbery. — Sapa
