‘Very drunk’ man sleeps as girlfriend is gang-raped

A Butterworth man remained ”fast asleep” while three men took turns raping his girlfriend in his bedroom early on Saturday morning, Eastern Cape police said.

The 22-year-old woman allegedly woke up and saw three men in the room where she was sleeping with her boyfriend who was allegedly ”very drunk” at around 3am, said Captain Jackson Manatha.

The men then took turns raping her.

”They told the woman to keep quiet. Her boyfriend remained fast asleep and didn’t hear anything until they finished raping her,” said Manatha.

The men then escaped through the bedroom window.

”They allegedly stole two cellphones from the room.”

No arrests have been made.
