The fourth round of gold-sector wage talks will start on Monday in Johannesburg, the Chamber of Mines said on Friday.
Chamber spokesperson Jabu Maphalala said gold-mining companies represented by the chamber and trade unions would meet at the chamber’s offices in Johannesburg.
The three gold companies involved — AngloGold Ashanti, Gold Fields and Harmony — are the biggest in the country.
Participating unions are the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM), Solidarity and the United Association of South Africa.
Last week the unions rejected the chamber’s increased offer of 7%.
Union demands were still at 15%, said NUM spokesperson Lesiba Seshoka on Friday.
