Eskom CFO resigns

Eskom’s chief financial officer (CFO), Bongani Nqwababa, has resigned, the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) reported on Tuesday.

Eskom spokesperson Fanie Zulu said he could not officially confirm the report but that an announcement would be made at 3pm.

The SABC reported that Nqwababa was likely to stay on for up to six months before leaving.

Asked what he would be doing after that, Nqwababa said an announcement would be made in the next few days.

Zulu said a press conference would be held at Megawatt Park in Sunninghill, Johannesburg, at 3pm on Tuesday to ”address all issues relating to leadership changes at Eskom”. — Sapa
