Limpopo public works minister Phandelani Ramagoma died in an accident on the N1 on Monday morning, Limpopo police said.
The policeman driving Ramagoma also died in the accident. They were believed to be on their way from Makhado to Polokwane in a Land Rover, said Superintendent Ronel Otto.
”The driver of the Land Rover lost control and ran into some bridge barriers,” said Otto.
The Land Rover then burst into flames. Ramagoma and the police inspector died on the scene.
Otto said police were still investigating the cause of the accident. – Sapa
