SA Airlink on Monday was continuing to reroute flights and refund passengers following last week’s grounding of 14 of its aircraft due to safety concerns.
Talks between the airline and the manufacturer about engine problems with Airlink’s Jetstream fleet would resume on Monday, said spokesperson Karin Murray.
”It’s business as usual with [us] accommodating rerouting where we can,” said Murray.
”We are in contact with passengers if they have opted for refunds and wanting to make their own travel arrangements. We are assisting with that.”
The Civil Aviation Authority said it was grounding the fleet last Wednesday following an audit after ”a series of serious aircraft incidents and accidents” over the past three months. – Sapa
