A woman drowned in her car on Wednesday evening when it was washed away in Bryanston during heavy rains, Gauteng paramedics said.
The woman’s car washed away at 10pm on Grosvener Road in Bryanston, said Johannesburg emergency services spokesperson Nana Radebe.
The car had been found submerged under a bridge; the woman was found in the car having drowned.
“It’s raining very hard, we’re urging people driving to be very careful because many roads are waterlogged,” said Radebe. — Sapa
