Moroka Swallows striker Siyabonga Nomvete is the surprise inclusion in the 25-man Bafana Bafana squad for the month-long training camp in Germany, named on Thursday.
The 33-year-old has been out of favour with the national side in recent years, but put in an impressive showing with Swallows this season. Also included in the squad is Orlando Pirates striker Katlego Mashego.
Bloemfontein Celtic’s Tlou Segolela, Ajax Cape Town youngster Thulani Serero and Pirates Thulasizwe Mbuyane were however axed from the squad that returned from Brazil.
The squad leave for Germany on Monday and returns on April 30.
