No news on Lolly Jackson’s killer

There was no further information on how police are progressing with the arrest of the person who murdered Teazers owner Lolly Jackson almost two weeks ago.

“The investigation is still continuing,” said police spokesperson Colonel Eugene Opperman.

He repeated that line to questions on whether police thought their suspect may have left the country, or whether they had taken anyone else in for questioning.

When Jackson was shot dead in Kempton Park earlier in this month, police said they were looking for a man called “George Smith”, believed to be a Cypriot, for questioning.

In the vacuum of information, theories on his murder have included a money-laundering deal gone wrong or a hit by the aggrieved partner of a former stripper. — Sapa
