Rediscovering the lost art of the salon is top South African concert pianist Christopher Duigan, who regularly transforms his home studio into an intimate performance space for some of the world’s top classical musicians and a small gathering of appreciative musical epicures.

Recently inducted into one of the most exclusive clubs on the planet, Duigan has been named a Steinway Pianist and his inspired initiative, Music Revival, continues successfully crusade to bring classical music to a contemporary audience. The Garden Amphitheatre at Duigan’s Pietermaritzburg home this weekend hosts internationally acclaimed classical guitarist James Grace who performs a concert of music from the four corners of the planet entitled Around The World in 60 Minutes. Guests are invited to bring their own chairs, picnic and wines to an evening outdoors while listening to this magical music at sunset. The first 50 bookings will receive guaranteed places indoors in the case of inclement weather. Grace plays another concert in Pietermaritzburg itself on the weekend in which he focuses upon music with a strong Spanish/Latin component.
