The messy financial dispute between the British Olympic Association and organisers of the London 2012 Games has been resolved.
The BOA had launched legal action against the 2012 body, known as Locog, at the Court of Arbitration for Sport after disputing its share of revenue from the Olympics.
The agreement announced Tuesday ends the legal case. The BOA says the accord “provides greater clarity to existing contractual agreements and identifies specific areas of expanded partnership between Locog and the BOA”.
BOA chief executive Andy Hunt says his organisation will now “be able to keep its attention focused entirely on our preparations to support Team GB at the Games”. — Sapa-AP
