Booklovers and those who like their intellectual debate hard-boiled will be glad to hear that the Jozi Book Fair has come around again.
By midweek the event’s website had listed almost 40 exhibitors, from publishers to organisations. The programme will consist of seminars, round-table discussions and public lectures by both fiction and non-fiction writers. The subjects will include xenophobia, the Arab Spring, local publishing, social media, women and survival, freedom of expression and the economy.
Jozi Book Fair, Museum Africa, Newtown, from August 6 to 8. Tel: 011 336 9190. For a list of launches, readings and conversations go to: www.jozibookfair.org.za.
