Cops In The Dark Over Murder Of Lolly Jackson's Lawyer

Gauteng police could not confirm media reports on Wednesday that the lawyer of slain Teazers boss Lolly Jackson had been kidnapped and murdered in Hekpoort, west of Johannesburg.

Lieutenant-Colonel Tshisikhawe Ndou said he was aware of the reports, but that nothing had been reported to the police.

“At this stage, we have nothing on our records. Nothing has been reported, but we are trying to find out,” he said.

According to an Eyewitness News report, Ian Jordaan’s body was found in a burnt-out car in Hekpoort early on Wednesday morning.

He was allegedly lured to a meeting with clients on Tuesday evening, and when he did not return home his fiancee became worried.

A close friend of his, who did not want to be named, told EWN Jordaan was forced to transfer R1.8-million into an account, which he did.

The money had allegedly belonged to Jackson, who asked the lawyer to hold it for him before he was killed in 2010. Jordaan was involved in wrapping up Jackson’s estate.

Jackson, the owner of the Teazers franchise of strip clubs, was found murdered at a house in Edleen, near the OR Tambo International Airport, on May 3 last year. — Sapa
