Power FM announces line-up changes

Power Fm Announces Line Up Changes

The adjustments, announced on Wednesday, will see current Power Perspective host Tim Modise move to Power Breakfast weekdays between 6am to 9am.

Current Power Breakfast host Lawrence Tlhabane will become the host of Power Perspective, weekdays between 9pm to 12pm.

Another adjustment will see current Power Breakfast co-host Siki Mgabadeli move to Power Business, weekdays between 5pm to 6pm, while current host Owen Nkomo will stay on as business contributor.

According to Power FM station manager Ferdinand Mabalane, the adjustments are "a proactive move in the early stages of the station to derive optimum output from its talent". Mabalane added that Power FM will continue to review its overall offering to meet the already overwhelming positive reception from its listeners and advertisers.

The changes will come into effect from Monday, July 15.

Power FM was awarded the last available FM radio frequency licence by the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa in 2011.

The English-medium, talk-based commercial station aims to attract urban listeners between the ages of 25 and 49.
