Jacob Zuma’s rape accuser was treated at a mental institution in Zimbabwe after her father died, the Johannesburg High Court heard on Friday. The woman’s mother testified that her daughter ”had experienced many difficulties”.

Jacob Zuma’s rape accuser has denied making a number of attempted rape claims when she returned to South Africa from exile. Earlier on Thursday, the Johannesburg High Court heard that while she was a child three men had raped her, and one had attempted to rape her on separate occasions.
The woman accusing Jacob Zuma of raping her told the Johannesburg High Court on Wednesday that she became ”shit scared” when she realised what was about to happen. Zuma’s lawyer Kemp J Kemp had asked her why she did not open her eyes to see what he was doing when he came into her guest room and started massaging her.
The woman Jacob Zuma allegedly raped told the Johannesburg High Court on Tuesday she had been raped on a previous occasion. She said this while giving evidence on the contents of an SMS sent to her sister after the alleged incident involving Zuma.
After describing in detail her alleged rape by Jacob Zuma, the complainant told the Johannesburg High Court on Monday that she had been offered compensation if she dropped the charge. She was also asked if she realised the effect the allegation would have on the African National Congress, and told to deny the charge to two newspaper reporters.
The woman at the centre of the Jacob Zuma rape trial has told the Johannesburg High Court about her ordeal. The complainant in the state vs Zuma said she was already asleep when the former deputy president entered her room. It is against the law to name a rape victim, unless she gives consent.. He offered to tuck her in and massage her.

African National Congress deputy president Jacob Zuma received a hero’s welcome while campaigning for the upcoming local government election on the outskirts of Pietermaritzburg on Saturday. He told community members to vote for the ANC, saying it is the only party that can give them a better life.

Transvaal Judge President Bernard Ngoepe has recused himself from the rape trial of African National Congress deputy president Jacob Zuma. He told the Johannesburg High Court he is stepping aside, but not for the reasons put forward by Zuma’s defence. Zuma addressed about 3Â 000 supporters outside the court after Ngoepe recused himself.
