This is a very special two-part M&G Listen podcast series by our arts & culture team, the Friday section.

We are joined by some highly esteem guests in the conversation, and they chat about David Koloane and Louis Maqhubela and the legacies they left behind.

In this episode, the conversation is about David Koloane and his legacy, particularly around his influence and the impact he had as an artist and an artist that was advocating for black artists at the time. In 2019, an exhibition of his work was up at a Standard Bank gallery, which was followed by the launch of a catalogue that accompanied the exhibition, titled ‘A resilient visionary poetic expressions of David Koloane’.

Don’t forget to leave us a thumbs up when you’re done listening.
