Pichot slams state of Argentinian rugby

Former Argentina captain Agustin Pichot slammed his federation chiefs on Friday declaring that the domestic scene was a disgrace. The 33-year-old scrumhalf told Argentine daily La Nacion he could not believe the manner in which the federation chiefs were dealing with the question over making the domestic game professional.

IRB must play ball

A Rugby World Cup featuring upset results pleases many, but not the International Rugby Board (IRB). The IRB likes to hide behind the profitability of the Rugby World Cup, stating that the funds raised from it go towards helping to grow the game globally. What they don’t like to see is any sign of the boat rocking.
