The ANC in the Free State says Premier Beatrice Marshoff will finish her term as premier in the interests of party unity.
Beatrice Marshoff remains Free State premier for now, but has been advised that she must leave her post, provincial party officials said on Wednesday.
A judicial inquiry found on Wednesday that murdered senior Free State official Noby Ngombane’s wife, Nokwanda, and family were not involved in his murder in 2005. Regional magistrate Dawn Soomaroo made her findings public after a judicial investigation, which lasted about a month, in Bloemfontein.

Willem Edeling, legal counsel for Ngombane’s wife, Nokwanda, and other family members asked regional magistrate Dawn Soomaroo to consider not calling the so-called ”suspects” to the stand.
When was the last time you heard from Gauteng Premier Mbhazima Shilowa, Free State Premier Beatrice Marshoff, Northern Cape’s Dipuo Peters or even KwaZulu-Natal’s S’bu Ndebele? I reckon not lately. It may be true that some, such as Marshoff and Peters, have always had a low public profile anyway. But Shilowa and Ndebele?
