Safa should appoint a local coach, such as Clive Barker, to take Bafana Bafana to the 2010 World Cup, former captain Neil Tovey says.

Bafana Bafana’s most successful coach, Clive Barker, has called Safa to set up a meeting with former local-born national coaches.
Itumeleng Khune and not Teko Modise should have been named the Premier Soccer League’s (PSL) best footballer this season if coaches had voted along the lines they suggested to the Mail & Guardian this week. The credibility of the selection is being compared to that of the Zimbabwean election.
It was going to take something special to win this tight Nedbank Cup semifinal between favourites Mamelodi Sundowns and AmaZulu at Potchefstroom’s Olen Park on Sunday. The piece of individual magic came from Downs Zimbabwean international midfielder whose stunning 66th minute goal earned the Brazilians their place in the final.
