South Africa climbed two places to 49th position in the latest Fifa World Rankings, and have moved a notch up to 8th among African countries.
The steady rise of South Africa on the monthly Fifa rankings continued on Wednesday when they reached fourth place in Africa.

On the eve of Bafana Bafana’s friendly match against Kenya on Wednesday, Egypt tumbled 23 places down the Fifa rankings while Bafana jumped to 47.
