Police have used teargas to disperse hundreds of Tunisians protesting against a niqab ban and the screening of a film they said denigrated Islam.

At least two people were killed and 17 others wounded in northern Tunisia on Saturday when police opened fire to quell a protest.
Gunshots were heard in Tunis on Thursday, a Reuters reporter said, after one man was killed in clashes with police in the city overnight.
