Tiger Woods needed 20 holes to subdue Australian Aaron Baddeley on Friday and reach the quarterfinals of the -million WGC Accenture Match-Play Championship. It was the second hard-fought win in three days for Woods, who avoided a first-round upset on Wednesday.
A putrid prank went awry when authorities found a rental truck filled with rotting fish, cow parts and pig organs and evacuated residents of a Tucson, Arizona, neighbourhood. Four university students had rented the truck and collected the smelly cargo intending to dump it on someone’s front lawn as a prank, police said.

Australian Geoff Ogilvy drained an 18-foot birdie putt on the second play-off hole on Sunday to win his first United States PGA Tour title in the -million Tucson event. Kevin Na, the youngest player on tour, and Mark Calcavecchia were in the play-off with Ogilvy after finishing 72 holes at 19-under-par 269.
