TUESDAY, 12.00NOON:
THE SA Callback Association together with 10 local callback operations on Monday served papers on the SA Telecommunications Regulatory Authority alleging that by banning callback services, Satra acted beyond its powers.
The case is scheduled to be heard next week in the Witwatersrand division of the High Court.
The SA Callback Association claims Satra did not apply its mind to the consequences of banning callback operations and did not give callback operators the opportunity to present their case. Callback operators also complained the ban gave them no time to wind up their ioperations.
