Northerns short four Boks

TUESDAY, 1.30PM:

NORTHERN Transvaal will be without four of their seven Springboks — Krynauw Otto, Danie van Schalkwyk, Andre Snyman and Ruben Kruger — because of injuries, when they face Gauteng Lions in a Bankfin Currie Cup match at Loftus Versveld Stadium on Saturday.

Scrumhalf Joost van der Westhuizen, flank Schutte Bekker and prop Marius Hurter will don the Northerns’ jersey.

*Gauteng Falcons selectors have made two changes to the team that lost to Northern Free State last week, for the Bankfin Currie Cup match against Border at the Bosman Stadium on Friday. Andre Venter makes his come-back after being out of action because of an ankle injury. He replaces Porta Hoffmann. Jaco Visser comes in for Don van der Riet.
