ISCOR PROPERTY FETCHES R360m

THE property management arm of steel giant, Iscor, has raised a lower-than-expected R360-million from the sale of its properties since June 1996. Yskor Landgoed has liquidated its property holdings in Pretoria, Vanderbijlpark and Newcastle in a bid to raise an estimated R350-million for its general investment programme. Iscor expected to raise an estimated R500-million — with profit up to R360-million. Yskor Landgoed said sales slowed in the second half of 1998, with only R43-million in value sold between July and December.
