STOFILE’S SON KILLED

BEREAVED Eastern Cape Premier Makhenkesi Stofile broke off his election campaigning to travel to Cape Town on Sunday following the death of his son, Sikhulule (21) in a car crash on Saturday. Stofile was due to attend an African National Congress rally at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium in Mdantsane, but left for the Cape where his son studied at Varsity College. Sikhulule Stofile was killed instantly when the vehicle he was driving swerved out of control on a corner in Belmont Road, Rondebosch, and hit a concrete wall. Police spokeswoman Superintendent Nina Kirsten said Stofile was driving his sister’s Opel Corsa at the time.
