Donald, Pollock need better form

TUESDAY, 12.30PM:

SOUTH AFRICAN cricket captain Hansie Cronje has acknowledged the fact that his two main strike bowlers Allan Donald and Shaun Pollock were a tad out of sorts during the first Test at Headingley against Englandwhich was called a draw on Monday due to intermittent rain.

Cronje said that the South Africans are confident that they will be able to get their attacking spearhead fired up and into rhythm for the second Test against England.

“They (Pollock and Donald) are both lacking a bit of rhythm and the feeling is that they should both probably play in the three day match against Sussex. We were originally planning to rest them for that game.” Cronje said.

The match against Sussex starts on Friday.
