A LOCAL magazine has apologised to Environmental Affairs and Tourism Minister Valli Moosa, (42) for publishing a photograph of him in the nude. Moosa became the first South African politician to appear naked in a magazine — but not by design according to his office. “The minister considers the matter to be closed,” his office said on Thursday. The October issue of Out There magazine published a photograph of Moosa in the nick during a tour of Northern Maputaland. The cover trumpets: “Naked — Our new tourism minister bares all”. However, the story by veteran journalist Eddie Koch sensitively describes the minister’s love of nature. The magazine has admitted acting unethically and has returned the negatives.
