THE BLADE IS BACK

FLY-half Henry Honiball has been named in the South Africa team to play Uruguay in a World Cup Group A game at Hampden Park on Friday. Honiball, who replaces Jannie de Beer, will make his first appearance in the World Cup after recovering from a hamstring injury. South Africa coach Nick Mallett has named a virtually full-strength side for the clash aginst the South American amateurs. Only one player, lock Krynauw Otto, is retained from the starting line-up that laboured to a 47-3 win over Spain on Sunday.

Percy Montgomery; Deon Kayser, Robbie Fleck, Brendan Venter, Pieter Rossouw; Henry Honiball, Joost Van Der Westhuizen; Bobby Skinstad, Andre Venter, Rassie Erasmus, Mark Andrews, Krynauw Otto, Cobus Visagie, Naka Drotske, Os Du Randt. Replacements: Breyton Paulse, Pieter Muller, Werner Swanepoel, Andre Vos, Albert van den Berg, Olli Le Roux, Chris Rossouw.
