TWO APPEAR FOR MOTORCYCLE BOMB

TWO men appeared briefly in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday in connection with the theft of a motorcycle that was destroyed by a bomb planted outside the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court on January 12. Faizel Felix and Ashraf Saban will appear in the court again on January 26. The motorcycle was destroyed by the blast outside the court entrance. Three people were treated for minor injuries and shock. At the time of the blast, two brothers — Nazier and Said Mahatey — are applying for bail after being arrested in a raid on homes of members of the vigilante group People Against Gangsterism and Drugs (Pagad) on December 29 last year.
