DIVERS searching coastal waters off Cote d’Ivoire have retrieved one of the black box recorders from a Kenya Airways plane that crashed and killed 169 people. Members of Abidjan’s diving club pulled one of the black boxes from the water on Friday morning and also said they had seen bodies among the fuselage and debris. It was not immediately known which box, the flight data or the cockpit voice recorder, was retrieved. The black boxes are due to be sent to France to be deciphered in order to try to find the explanation of why the Airbus A310 plunged into the Atlantic Ocean on Sunday evening, only two minutes after taking off from Abidjan’s airport.
