JULIUS Aghahowa, Nigeria’s super-sub during the African Nations Cup, is doubtful for the Olympic qualifier against Uganda on Saturday. “I am nursing a nagging pain in my thigh but doctors have been working on it”, said Aghahowa, who scored three goals for Nigeria in the biennial African championship jointly hosted by Ghana and Nigeria. Aghahowa, who scored twice in last week’s first leg tie with the Ugandans, was forced to miss the defending Olympic champions’ final training session on Thursday. Nigeria need a win this weekend to sustain their challenge for the leadership of Group A currently held by Zimbabwe. The Young Warriors of Zimbabwe, leading Nigeria by three points after three matches, also need an away result against Angola in their weekend tie to keep the pressure on Nigeria.
