THE Hurricanes have been forced to look at playing lock Inoke Afeaki at flank for their Super 12 clash with the Cats at Palmerston North on Saturday after replacement loose-forward Semo Sititi failed a fitness test. The Hurricanes are in serious trouble with most of their loose-forwards injured. Filo Tiatia is out for at least a week, Gordon Falcon is out for five weeks and Matua Parkinson won’t see action for another three weeks. Hurricanes management are deciding whether to call in another player. Their alternatives are few, with the only conrenders being former Auckland lock Milton Ngauamo, Taranaki duo Andy Slater and Daryl Fale as well as Canterbury eighthman Clark McLeod. Also out is winger Jonah Lomu, who has a broken finger and there are doubts over the fitness of fullback Christian Cullen.
