ZIM WON’T FACE SHAOIB

ZIMABAWE’S batsmen will be heaving sighs of relief as Pakistani paceman Shoaib Akhtar has been pulled out of the Pakistani team’s opening triangular one-day match against Zimbabwe on Wednesday. Pakistan’s manager Brigadier Muhammad Nazir said Shaoib is being given more time to recover from a groin injury he suffered in the Sharjah Cup tournament. ”We won’t play Shoaib (on Wednesday) … but hopefully he will play against the West Indies on April 12,” Nazir said.
