STORMERS PLAYER ARRESTED FOR RAPE

CAPE TOWN police arrested a Springbok and Stormers rugby player on Sunday in connection with the rape of a 17-year-old girl in Claremont. The rape allegedly happened after the Stormers win over the Otago Highlanders on Saturday. He has been released on R2000 bail and is expected to appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court this week. The victim apparently accompanied her brother to the player’s house in Claremont after the game, where the girl was allegedly raped.
