NIGERIA Airways will resume commercial flights to the United States this month following the resolution of a dispute between it and South African Airways. The service, which will relaunch direct flights between Nigeria and the United States after a six-year break, was initially billed to start in October. But the Nigerian carrier said a disagreement with SAA, contracted to operate the service under a joint accord, had put the operation on hold. SAA clinched the deal last August to operate the lucrative Lagos-New York route on behalf of the Nigerian state carrier, but the Nigerian carrier said SAA had sought to amend the agreement to reduce the number of seats allocated to Nigeria Airways. – Reuters
