THE man accused of shooting a motorcyclist in an apparent road rage killing in August will appear briefly in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday. Owen Kroeger is on R5 000 bail following the shooting of Morare Matekane, who damaged the mirror of Kroeger’s car in a minor accident in central Johannesburg. A report of the case will be sent to the director of public prosecutions on Monday where it will be decided whether the case goes to the high court or the regional court, Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court control prosecutor Leana Fick said. ”I recommended he be tried in the high court on one count of murder,” Fick said.
