Zim reshuffles batting order

The Zimbabwe team, for their final triangular series one-day match against South Africa, shows one change from Sunday’s defeat by England.

Thursday’s match will see all rounder Richard Sims replace Charles Coventry. Sims, who has played in two one-day Internationals, will bat in the middle order and offers a third spin option alongside Ray Price and Grant Flower.

A reshuffled batting order will see Flower move up to open with Dion Ebrahim. Zimbabwe are out of contention for a place in the final, which will be contested by England and South Africa at Lord’s on Saturday.

However, captain Heath Streak said that his young side were determined to exit on a high note.

”Every international is an important learning opportunity for the team and that’s why we’ll be treating it with the same intensity as all of our previous games.

”Beating South Africa would be a great way to end the tour,” he said.
