A 30-year-old father was arrested in Doornkop for allegedly raping his eight-month-old daughter, Soweto police said on Tuesday.
Sergeant Richard Munyai said the baby girl’s mother noticed her daughter had allegedly been raped while she was bathing her and changing her nappy on Monday night.
”She discovered that the child’s private parts were swollen,” Munyai said.
He said the mother said that every time the father brought the baby back after baby-sitting her, the child would be crying.
The man was arrested and is scheduled to appear in the Soweto Magistrate’s Court. – Sapa
