A South African Lotto winner has until noon on Sunday to claim a prize of R10 066 972, else the ticket will expire.
Uthingo spokesperson Shenanda Janse van Rensburg said the Quickpick ticket was bought in Gauteng for the draw that took place on Saturday December 18 last year.
The winning numbers were 2, 3, 18, 23, 24 and 36.
”In accordance with the game rules, winners have up to 365 days from the date of a particular draw to claim their prizes,” said Janse van Rensburg.
If the money is not claimed, half of it will go to the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund for distribution to good causes, and the balance will be retained to supplement prizes for special draws.
”If you are in possession of the ticket worth over R10-million, you can contact our customer helpline on 0800 40 30 40. All calls are recorded and we will be able to verify the ticket and confirm that the winner made contact before the prize expired,” said Janse van Rensburg.
She reminded players to write their name and identity number on the back of their tickets, to ensure their tickets do not land in the wrong hands. — Sapa
