Stars and Dynamos share the spoils

Silver Stars and Dynamos shared the spoils in their Premier Soccer League encounter played at Royal Bafokeng Sport Palace on Sunday afternoon.

Both teams started the game in high spirits, trying hard to impress and get an early breakthrough.

Stars midfielder Dingane Masonabo broke the deadlock, giving the home side a vital 1-0 lead at the half-time interval when he scored from a cross by Katlego Mashego.

Dynamos goalkeeper Sadwick Sanudi then gave Stars a gift goal when he failed to catch the ball and allowed the it to slip out of his hands. Masanabo capitalised on the error to put his team ahead in the 28th minute.

Dynamos did not lose hope and they were duly rewarded when striker Mpho Malika headed home a cross from Vusi Dlamini in the 72nd minute, beating Wayne Sandilands.

Both coaches Owen da Gama, Stars and Lifa Gqosha, of Dynamos, made several changes in search for the winning goal which never came.

The Giyani-based Dynamos increased their draws to nine from 27 games with six wins in which they have only collected 27 points and are still flirting with relegation as they lie in 14th position on
