Prosecutors label Russia bus bomb as ‘terrorism’

Russian prosecutors labelled as a ”terrorist” act a bomb explosion that killed eight and injured more than 20 passengers in the city of Togliatti on Wednesday.

They opened a criminal investigation into the attack, Russian news agencies reported, three hours after the early-morning explosion.

”According to the facts of the explosion in the bus in Togliatti, it is a criminal case that was initiated according to the paragraph ‘Terror Act’ of Russian law,” said Vladimir Artyakov, the governor of the local Samara region, where Togliatti is situated. – Reuters
