Serena Williams thinks her sister Venus got a bum rap when a television station played slow motion clips as a male commentator admired her bottom on air.
Switchboards around the nation lit up with complaints following the incident on Tuesday during Venus’s match against China’s Yan Zi, according to local television reports.
Asked what she thought about her sister’s “posterior” being scrutinised, Serena had to have the term explained to her.
“Oh, yeah, we say booty,” she said. “I’m not quite sure about posterior, I’ll try to keep that in the back of my mind. What are you doing? I’m shaking my posterior,” she joked.
More seriously, she added: “Venus definitely has a great posterior. I’m sure it looked nice.” — AFP
